We at the Open Source University Project view the future of the University close to what it was initially intended to be – a community. Having in mind that “Universitas” stands for “the whole, the universe, the world” our intention is simple – to re-establish this classical community of teachers and scholars in a way, which it is fit for its purpose in the information age we live in, and is even of greater value to the mankind than anytime ever before, as today our technological and learning capabilities, our means and opportunities to connect, are far beyond those, according to which the 11th century learning community was set up.

The mission of Open Source University Project is to create a global space for people and organizations of any kind to share the benefits of a disruptively new higher education model – revolutionary by nature, open source by set-up, which provides a self-enhancing diversity of knowledge transfer and L&D models to choose from, contribute to, and share with the world, without any boundaries what so ever – geographic, social, financial.

Our primary goal is to connect the dots in higher education by:
 - Involving all key stakeholders into developing and gaining use of top-quality, yet flexible and up-to-date global academic curriculums upon which learners study, grow, and find employability.
 - Developing various learning and development enables, such as mentorship programs, project-oriented researches, communities of professionals – to collaborate, share ideas and knowledge.

We aren’t Wall Street professionals, nor are we venture capitalists or serial entrepreneurs. We renounce all of these border-like definitions. Our team is comprised out of young and passionate academia, free-market and open source enthusiasts, innovation-seekers, who intend to take the educational journey to the next level.
